Philosophy
We must design curriculum that carefully considers the way young children think. Curriculum that is designed for the adult, abstract thinking brain, will not produce results that are consistent with our desire to educate the next generation of creative thinkers. Concrete, sensory-based, learning opportunities that take place in outdoor settings allow children to create sense memories with objects when discovering them for the first time. When children are allowed to learn in this way, the potential for retention, application, and synthesis of knowledge is limitless.
